Bruno’s Triangle Seven Arena is a black-owned and family-owned rodeo and event space rooted in tradition, community, and the lasting legacy of Black cowboy culture. Located in Houston, Texas, our arena serves as a gathering place for trail riders, rodeo enthusiasts, and families who share a passion for Western heritage. From trail ride stops and rodeo events to private celebrations and community showcases, Triangle Seven Arena is built on pride, fellowship, and authentic Texas culture. We are committed to creating an atmosphere where history is honored, future generations are inspired, and every event feels like home.

Our History

1982

The Triangle Seven Rodeo Arena officially​ opened its doors.

North East Trail Ride Association was established.

1986

1987

Triangle Seven Rodeo Arena hosted the 2nd Annual Bill Pickett Rodeo.

Triangle Seven Rodeo Arena became a Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association (PRCA) Certified Rodeo Arena.

1989

The North East Trail Ride Association renamed to North Eastern Trail Ride Association (NETRA).

1989-1999

NETRA proudly hosted the All Girls Rodeo along with the Zydeco & Crawfish Festival.

1996

NETRA was invited to participate in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Trail Ride Parade.

Anthony Bruno

Anthony Bruno is a respected cowboy, trail boss, and leader in the Texas trail ride community. As the Trail Boss of the North Eastern Trail Ride Association, he plays a key role in preserving the rich tradition of Black cowboy culture and the legacy of trail riding in Houston and beyond. Known for his strong leadership, commitment to community, and dedication to keeping Western heritage alive, Bruno helps organize rides, events, and gatherings that bring people together through history, fellowship, and rodeo spirit. His work represents more than riding horses, it reflects pride, tradition, and the continued impact of African American cowboys in modern rodeo culture.

Joseph S. Bruno
December 10, 1932-December 26, 2022

Joseph S. Bruno was an influential figure in the Houston-area Black cowboy and trail ride community. He was known for his commitment to preserving and sharing the history and legacy of African American cowboys, rodeo culture, and Southern trail ride traditions. Through his involvement in community events and panel discussions, he helps educate others on the deep cultural roots of Black rodeo life while inspiring younger generations to stay connected to this heritage. His work highlights the importance of representation, storytelling, and honoring the contributions of Black cowboys in American history.
